Global Top 13 Companies Accounted for 96% of total Vehicle Steer-by-wire System market | |
Vehicle steer-by-wire refers to a system that uses cables and wiring to electronically perform steering operations in a vehicle. In such a setup, there is no longer any mechanical connection between the input component for steering (e.g. the steering wheel) and the vehicle’s wheels. Instead, all steering commands are transmitted electrically by a control unit to a motor that then executes the steering movement, thereby causing the wheels to turn in a corresponding manner. When steer-by-wire system is applied in autonomous cars, the steering wheel is either non-existent or can be folded in and out. The global key manufacturers of Vehicle Steer-by-wire System include JTEKT Corporation, Bosch, Nexteer, ZF, NSK, Hitachi Astemo (Showa ), Hyundai Mobis, Thyssenkrupp, Mando Corporation, China Automotive Systems, etc. In 2021, the global top five players had a share approximately 23343.0% in terms of revenue.
