God checks us out! | |
All verses come from a KJV Bible. Isaiah 43:26 Put me in remembrance: let us plead together: declare thou, that thou mayest be justified. [Put Me in remembrance: Prove to Me you have been studying My word and know all of My promises to you. Lets review your situation together. Only God can justify and approve us, not another man]. 2 Timothy 2:15 Study to shew thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth. [Study God's Word and you will avoid deception. Be good workers; one who does not need to be ashamed and who "correctly" explains the Word of God. (Follow the subject and object when you dissect and teach the Word of God). Study to show thy self approved. Who approves you? It is really not important what another man thinks of you, only what God thinks of you]. What is the purpose of justifying and approving us [trials and tribulations]? James 1:12 Blessed is the man that endureth temptation: for when he is tried, he shall receive the crown of life, which the Lord hath promised to them that love him. [Be happy when you don't give into temptations, and you will receive the rewards God has promised you. Do you know what He has promised you? See Isaiah 43:26, He wants to know how much you know, so He can justify and approve you. Study His word to discover those promises]. 1 Peter 1:6 Wherein ye greatly rejoice, though now for a season, if need be, ye are in heaviness through manifold temptations: [Be glad because there is a great reward and joy ahead even if you suffer trials for a little while. As a Christian you are going to have many temptations that will come your way. Use your sanctification and power of the spirit to help you through]. 1 Peter 1:7 That the trial of your faith, being much more precious than of gold that perisheth, though it be tried with fire, might be found unto praise and honour and glory at the appearing of Jesus Christ: [The testing of your faith through trials show that your faith is genuine. When your faith remains strong it will bring you praise, honor and glory when Christ returns at the second advent]. 1 Corinthians 10:13 There hath no temptation taken you but such as is common to man: but God is faithful, who will not suffer you to be tempted above that ye are able; but will with the temptation also make a way to escape, that ye may be able to bear it. [You are never tempted with more than you can handle in life. Endure and be saved]. (2 Timothy 3:11). | |
