Few find it! | |
This is a KJV Bible study guide. Matthew 7:14 Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it. Luke 12:32 Fear not, little flock; for it is your Father's good pleasure to give you the kingdom. [“few there be that find it” and “little flock” mean what? Not many will actually be given the kingdom of God at first, how sad. So many think they have been doing it right. Some (a few/the elect/overcomers) do overcome and are exempt from the second death; see Revelation 20:6. We can all rejoice, a few are doing it correctly as stated in Matthew 7:14 and Luke 12:32. Where do you and I fall into this mix? I'll say this, I try to follow the command of God. When I see the error of my ways, I repent and get back on track]. It is apparent there are those that overcome and those that don't overcome. It is only being truthful to remind you that Satan deceives the whole world (see Revelation 12:9); all but those that overcome. Those that don't make it will face final judgment at the end of the millennium reign of Christ. Some may experience the second death (eternal death of the soul) according to their works. See Revelation 20:11-15. There is a huge difference from being judged for our works and being saved. Salvation is not based on your works in this flesh life. Remember, your works follow you (Revelation 14:13). In Revelation 19:15 and other verses, what does rod of iron mean? [With a rod of iron, indicates the severest, most rigorous rule; in my words, strict discipline without the influence of Satan who is locked up for a thousand years. It is apparent that many will require the strict discipline that Christ imposes]. Seek the Kingdom first. In other words, put God first in your life. That is accomplished through study of His word as we are commanded to do in 2 Timothy 2:15. Have you complied? | |
