Choose life!

This is a KJV Bible study guide.

Deuteronomy 30:15 See, I have set before thee this day life and good, and death and evil;
Deuteronomy 30:19 I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live:
Jeremiah 21:8 And unto this people thou shalt say, Thus saith the LORD; Behold, I set before you the way of life, and the way of death.

[He gives us two choices only. There is no third choice. Choose life and receive blessing. Choose death and receive cursing. This applies even to everyone of us today. God recommends choosing life; the best advice you could ever get! This concerns eternal life and this temporary flesh life].

Deuteronomy 28:1-14; blessings.
Deuteronomy 28:15-68; cursings.

This is all conditional based on the small word “if”. We all must choose between the two, blessings or cursings; there is no third choice.

Galatians 6:7 Be not deceived; God is not mocked: for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap.

[You get exactly what you ask for, so be careful what you ask for].

Many ask, why is my life going the way that it is? It is really quite simple. It is based on choices you have made up to this point. Might be a good idea to examine this possibility and look at the decisions you have made in the past. Make better choices from here into the future; do things differently! If you keep making the same kinds of choices, you will get the same results. I heard one time that the definition of insanity is doing things the same way each time, but expecting a different result each time. Sounds like something insane to me. Again, try doing things differently, show some faith. We all must make a choice which way to go.

(Also, see these related verses [still just two choices]: Joshua 24:15; Matthew 6:24 and Revelation 3:16).

Proverbs 14:12 There is a way which seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death.

Proverbs 16:25 There is a way that seemeth right unto a man, but the end thereof are the ways of death. [Second time for emphasis; also, death is one of Satan’s names].

Isaiah 55:8 For my thoughts are not your thoughts, neither are your ways my ways, saith the LORD. [If the ways of a man lead to death, which is the right way? See the following verses].

Proverbs 3:5 Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
Proverbs 3:6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Many humans are quick to see the wrong in others but not themselves; bad idea.

Proverbs 16:2 All the ways of a man are clean in his own eyes; but the LORD weigheth the spirits.
