Two judgments? | |
Ezekiel 18:4 Behold, all souls are mine; as the soul of the father, so also the soul of the son is mine: the soul that sinneth, it shall die. Matthew 10:28 And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. (God can and will destroy the soul if we don’t make the cut at the second judgment; see Revelation 21:8 below). 2 Corinthians 5:10 For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ; that every one may receive the things done in his body, according to that he hath done, whether it be good or bad. (This occurs immediately after death to the flesh). Hebrews 9:27 And as it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment: (All humans must die once in the flesh then face the 1st judgment; see above verse; this includes untruthful politicians). Revelation 20:6 Blessed and holy is he that hath part in the first resurrection: on such the second death hath no power, but they shall be priests of God and of Christ, and shall reign with him a thousand years. (These souls are immune to the second death; death of the soul). Revelation 20:12 And I saw the dead, small and great, stand before God; and the books were opened: and another book was opened, which is the book of life: and the dead were judged out of those things. Revelation 21:8 But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death. (It will be the second death “death of the soul”). I believe there are two judgments according to the above verses in the KJV Bible. Those that didn't make the first judgment will have to stand for the second judgment. Those that were judged and found acceptable to reign with Christ for one thousand years will not have to stand in front of God at the second judgment. First, all must stand before Christ and be judged for what one has done in his flesh body, good or bad. (Reward or penalty for what was done in the flesh? Which do you prefer? Your choice). Second, the spiritually dead must stand before God and be judged for what is written in the books. These are the souls that didn't make the first cut. This will happen at the end of Christ's reign for a thousand years at what is known as the great white throne judgment. These are just some of the verses concerning this topic. To find the others I highly recommend you personally study the Bible completely cover to cover. You will truly be amazed at what you can learn. | |
