In case you have previously stored your password in Outlook, retrieving it through the account settings is a piece of cake. For security purposes, stored passwords are not displayed in clear text but if you need to recover your password, follow these steps. The first step is to fire up your Outlook and click on the file. From the file menu, select account settings and then click on manage profiles. In the email accounts section, select your Bigpond email address from the list. You can now attempt to recover the password through the credential manager in Windows. To get to Windows credential manager, access the control panel first then proceed to credential manager > Windows credentials. There, click on your Bigpond email under generic credentials in order to reveal saved login credentials. Should the password not be visible, and remain encrypted, returning access can only be carried out by resetting the password on the Telstra website. These strategies can also be implemented when Outlook does not accept your password. Update your credentials or remove the account and re-add it while ensuring the correct settings are provided.
