Knowledge and wisdom!

Knowledge! This is a KJV Bible study guide.

Proverbs 1:7 The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction. (Don’t be a fool; revere God and His word).
Hosea 4:6 My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. (Not a good idea to reject knowledge that comes from God. You just passed a sentence on your children).

KNOWL'EDGE, n. nol'lej.
1. A clear and certain perception of that which exists, or of truth and fact; the perception of the connection and agreement, or disagreement and repugnancy of our ideas.
We can have no knowledge of that which does not exist. God has a perfect knowledge of all his works. Human knowledge is very limited, and is mostly gained by observation and experience.
2. Learning; illumination of mind.
Ignorance is the curse of God, knowledge the wing wherewith we fly to heaven.
3. Skill; as a knowledge of seamanship.
4. Acquaintance with any fact or person. I have no knowledge of the man or thing.
5. Cognizance; notice. Ruth 2.
6. Information; power of knowing.
Where does wisdom, knowledge and the ability to understand come from? How do we get it? These are some of the many verses that tell us: 1 Chronicles 22:12; Psalm 111:10, 119:34, 73, 104, 125, 130, 144, 169; Proverbs 1:5, 7, 2:1-22, 3:3-5, 4:7; James 1:5.
No two people are just exactly alike. We are each given different gifts by God, to include levels of wisdom, knowledge, understanding, comprehension and perception; look around you, you can see this very easily for yourself today. See Romans 12:3, 6-8; 1 Corinthians 12:12-31; James 1:17. Use the gift He has given you to serve Him. Don't be worrying about the gift of another, He gave it to them, not you.
The great hindrance to all true wisdom is the thought that we have already attained it (Plumptre). [Some folks can’t be told anything because they already know everything, so they think].

If you want to be free from the bondage of deception, (caused by listening to false teachers, those that are biblically illiterate), learn the truth by studying the word of God completely as we are commanded to do; don’t be destroyed for lack of knowledge of God’s word. Another really good reason to study is you will not hear God’s word today where you should hear His word (in church).

2 Timothy 2:15 Study to show thyself approved unto God, a workman that needeth not to be ashamed, rightly dividing the word of truth.

John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.

John 17:17 Sanctify them through thy truth: thy word is truth.

Amos 8:11 Behold, the days come, saith the Lord GOD, that I will send a famine in the land, not a famine of bread, nor a thirst for water, but of hearing the words of the LORD:

(That famine for hearing the Word of the Lord is upon us now. People are starving for the truth in the Word. Sadly, fairy tales, false teachings, traditions and commandments of men are all that are taught in most churches today. You can overcome the famine by actually studying the word of God yourself; what a concept).

By studying the Bible yourself you will discover amazing things that, sadly, you will never hear while sitting in a church pew.
